From the first World Championships in 1949, the sport has grown more and more in popularity and size. Today many of the top riders come from the region of Catalunya including Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez. How to get to Moto GP Barcelona:
Line R2 to Montmeló and from here you can walk for 30 minutes or take a taxi. There is also a shuttle bus available during big events.
There is a service which runs during the MotoGP Barcelona which sets off from the corner of Passeig de Sant Joan and Diputació. A return ticket cost €9 and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. The service is run by Sagalés.
