Moto GP Barcelona

It is not hard to see as you walk around the city of Barcelona that one of the most popular ways of getting around is via motorbike. It should come as no surprise then that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has consistently hosted Moto GP races.

From the first World Championships in 1949, the sport has grown more and more in popularity and size. Today many of the top riders come from the region of Catalunya including  Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez. If you are here during the big event, do not miss out on your opportunity to experience the great atmosphere of these sporting greats racing on their homeground. It can be truly electric and a unique way to experience the city of Barcelona.

In 2014, the Moto GP will take place on 15th June and is a thrilling event to see if you are in Barcelona during this time. You can purchase your tickets for any of the major events at the circuit on their official website.

If you do not get the chance to see the Moto GP Barcelona, the circuit also offers guided tours, track days and racing test days, so there’s always an opportunity to get in on the racing action regardless of the time of year.

How to get to Moto GP Barcelona:

Train:

Line R2 to Montmeló and from here you can walk for 30 minutes or take a taxi. There is also a shuttle bus available during big events.

Bus:

There is a service which runs during the MotoGP Barcelona which sets off from the corner of Passeig de Sant Joan and Diputació. A return ticket cost €9 and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. The service is run by Sagalés.
