Golf in Barcelona is a great activity whilst staying in Barcelona and there are many options to choose from. The city has a great climate for playing golf for most of the year. The summers aren’t unbearably hot and the winters are mild, therefore it provides the perfect environment in which to play golf in Barcelona throughout the year. There are several great golf courses located around Barcelona city and here are some of the top ones to try out:

Real Club de Golf El Prat
The Real Club de Golf El Prat was set up in 1912 in Pedralbes, making it the oldest golf club in Barcelona. It has plenty of experience and has hosted the Spanish Open nine times. In 1954 it moved to El Prat but in 2001 it was relocated once more, this time to Terrassa due to the expansion of El Prat airport. Its new course was designed by Greg Norman who is renowned for creating designs which synchronise with their environment and challenging for all levels over a high quality course. There are in total 45 holes – two 18 hole courses and one 9 hole course open to the public. Facilities include a restaurant, a golf school, a pool and gym.
From the city centre it takes 25 minutes by car or 45 minutes by train.
Sant Cugat
Sant Cugat club was founded in 1914, and so has a long history and plenty of experience. There is one 18 hole course and facilities include a gym, a pool and a pitch and putt. It is open everyday except Mondays.
From the city centre it takes approximately 25 minutes by car.
You can also take the FGC to Sant Cugat and from here it is just a 5 minute walk.
Golf Terramar, Sitges
Golf Terramar is located south of Barcelona in Sitges and is close to the beach where the last 3 holes offer stunning views. The club was opened in 1927 and its facilities include a pool, tennis, restaurant and gym.
You can get to the club by car in about 40 minutes or by train to Sitges station and then from here it takes approximately 5 minutes by taxi.
