How to easily get here: It’s possible to go by bus, but it is the easiest with a train. Barcelona has three main train stations: Estacio de França, Passeig de Gracia and Estacio Sants. You can purchase tickets by either automated machines or tickets desk.
#2 Cadaques
Not everyone has heard of this old fishing town located north of Costa Brava, near the French border. Cadaques is the perfect place for a getaway if you want to leave Barcelona for a weekend. It’s recognized for its whitewashed environment and bohemian vibe. Salvador Dalí often came here as a child, and it’s understandable that he got a lot of inspiration from the wonderful environment. Even other creative artists like Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso came here to seek inspiration for their artwork.
How to easily get here: If you have a car this is the best option, it’s a 2.5 hours drive. But it’s definitely worth the ride. Otherwise, the train might be a good option, it runs daily from Barcelona. Many companies also offer bus rides.

#3 Costa Dorada
Costa Dorada is included in the province of Tarragona and is located on the coast of Barcelona. The name means “The Golden Coasts” and it got its name from the golden sand on the beaches and the sun that always is shining. Costa Dorada has a total of 216 kilometers coastline! You also have to experience the lowland between the beaches and the mountains. What’s more peaceful than relaxing on a beautiful village or a farm with a glass of wine in your hand?
How to easily get here: If you don’t have the possibility to rent a car, a train is a good option. It takes about 50 minutes from Barcelona centrum!

Tossa de Mar is located on the coast of Costa Brava. It’s an ancient fishermen’s village and very popular among tourists. Here you definitely will find the most spectacular landscapes of Costa Brava. #5 Castelldefels
Castelldefels is a municipality located 12 kilometers southwest of Barcelona. You’ll love the wide and long beaches that never gets too crowded, even in season.
