Gay Bars in Sitges

The beautiful Spanish coastal town of Sitges has been a popular gay destination for decades. In addition to the wide offer of gay beaches and vibrant gay bars in Sitges, the town has also another big advantage. It’s just 30 minutes by train from Barcelona, a city with an endless number of sights to explore and a thriving bar scene to experience.

The Sitges gay bar scene is busy all year round. The main season is from May to end of September. Most of the bars open from the beginning of Spring (March 20th). As Easter arrives the bars open daily as do the discos and clubs. Off season Sitges is still well worth a visit with bars in the city centre open from Thursdays to Sundays.

Are you planning to spend an unforgettable night in Sitges and get a first hand experience of local gay culture? Our roundup of the most popular gay bars in Sitges can surely help.

Casablanca

A bar where conversation, background music, jazz and emblematic songs from many different eras, mix with traditional and stylish cocktails as well as nice wines. This venue opts for a different music style, while others play pop or house hits, Casablanca prefers jazz, not very loud, so you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to that, Casablanca’s the perfect spot to chill while having a chat with friends, or a romantic date, while drinking a glass of wine (be aware of their great wine selection!).

The Casablanca cocktail bar is run by local couple Juan and Brandon who have owned the place since 1998. A cozy locale with an intimate lounge area decorated with local art on the first floor, the bar hosts regular French-themed nights with plenty of pate and cheese. Casablanca offers an altogether much more relaxed atmosphere than the other Sitges gay bars.
