Dart “Documentary film festival on contemporary art“ is the first documentary film festival dedicated to contemporary art. Moreover, this is a meeting place between cinema and art in Spain and Latin America. In addition, its selection of documentaries focuses on various artistic disciplines and on other fields of art and culture; for instance, photography, curating of art, painting, architecture, performance and artistic movements. Likewise, its mainly on contemporary art; paying special attention to artists, their processes of creation and the stories behind their work.

In the same vein the thematic is diverse. From biopics to visual arts projects produced for a specific place or time, and exhibitions or relevant events in the history of contemporary art (from the avant-garde emergence of the early 20th century to the present). The program also includes other educational and informative activities, such as talks, visits to art galleries, exhibitions, Q&A and debates.

Mercat de Mercats: a three day long food festival in Barcelona. Between the last days of October you can visit Mercat de Mercats, a festival for lovers of food and drink. This outdoor food festival is located in the centre of Barcelona’s Gothic quarter, which itself is worth visiting. The market starts in the square in front of Barcelona Cathedral called Avinguda de la Cathedral and continues in to the Gothic area.
