The 48H Open House Barcelona is a main event for architecture, where over 150 houses of different styles, shapes and materials open their doors to the public.

The 48H Open House Barcelona started in London in 1992 and since then Open House takes place around the world in places such as New York, Dublin, Galway, Tel Aviv. Barcelona has been a part since 2010. Open House allows visitors to understand and feel architecture in a different way and appreciate good construction and design.

The architects who have designed the work, the participants and those who do city planning for the Open House, all assist in making architecture better understood. Itineraries, activities and conferences will be offered to visitors for free. Although the event is mainly directed at Barcelona citizens to make them appreciate the architecture of the city, anyone can go.
