DrapArt Festival
DrapArt Festival is a showcase of tendencies in art that uses, for instance, objets trouvés and reject materials as a resource. In addition, this is a platform for the emerging sector of artists, designers and craftspersons from all over the world that use rubbish as raw materials; it is a forum for debate on urban theories and utopias.
Moreover, DrapArt Festival is a meeting place for specialists with an audience searching for alternative ways forward in a world heading for self-destruction. The use and discard habits, acquired during the 20th century, have to be redirected towards the awareness that nothing ever disappears, everything is transformed.
Subsequently, in the middle of the current debate on sustainability and unchecked consumerism, one of the causes of unprecedented climate change; DrapArt is an attempt to make the people view recycling not merely as a critical tool but also from a positive angle linked to art.
