Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera (“The Quarry”), was designed and completed between 1906 – 1912. This modernist building is based on a constant curve and contains many structural innovations. This spectacular construction is one of the go to places in Barcelona and Summer Nights at La Pedrera provides the perfect occasion to see Gaudí‘s work in the flesh.
Throughout the summer on Friday and Saturday evenings visitors to Summer Nights at La Pedrera take in spectacular views of Barcelona, a free drink on the terrace and the stirring sounds of live jazz music. Before every show guests are invited to the Espai Gaudí (the attic) where you can see the fundamental principles Gaudí applied to design and architecture.
Tickets are priced at €30 and can either be purchased online or at the La Pedrera Ticket Office. This years performers include the Fèlix Rossy Quintet, Slow & Canela, Mayte Alguacil, Xavi Torres Trio, Mezquida-Aurignac-Prats and many more.
Summer Nights at La Pedrera is situated on the trendy Passeig de Gràcia, so you won’t be short of places to eat before or after this fabulous event.
