Birdy performance in Barcelona!
On 7th November, British singer-songwriter Birdy will be performing in Barcelona during a two-stop tour in Spain. The 20-year-old performer rose to fame when she was only 14 years old with an adaptation of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love” after it went viral on YouTube. The rising singer’s potential was first recognised when she won British talent competition, Open Mic UK at the age of 12. The Birdy concert in Barcelona will take place in the PobleNou area.
The Birdy concert in Barcelona will be showcasing the young star’s latest album, Beautiful Lies which features hit songs Keeping Your Head Up and Wild Horses. The height of her career has allowed her to perform soundtracks to the Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars and Disney’s Brave and her big-name fans include Jennifer Lawrence, George Clooney and Ellen Degeneres.
The low-profile singer has retained her anonymity and says she occasionally gets recognized by strangers but enjoys doing mundane things like travelling on the tube and going to McDonalds unnoticed. Growing up she was extremely shy and she states that she didn’t start music to be famous; she did it for her love of music.
Razzmatazz is located in the industrial part of El Poblenou. The nightclub is one of the city’s biggest, comprising of five club spaces. It is one of the best venues for live music thanks to its impressive sound system and electric atmosphere.
