Alimentaria is one of the key international food and beverage fairs in Europe and an internationally recognized gathering for all food, beverage and culinary industry professionals. As always, the focus of the fair will fall on maintaining and strengthening the foundations of its growth: internationalisation, innovation, gastronomy and specialisation. Some of the fair´s most popular shows and content will also be re-imagined in exciting new ways. This year, Alimentaria will take place from the 25th to the 28th of April at the Fira of Barcelona, like many other congresses and fairs hosted by this city.

Why attend?
The “food-lover” is the individual for whom this delicious fair is designed. It´s time to taste and to take interest in all the wonderful new product out there. They are guaranteed to make your life more delectable. During the four-day fair you will be able to discover products from all over the world: typical items from Asian, American and African markets. On show will be some already existing products with new packaging and new flavors, as well as exciting new products. The fair is also an opportunity for everyone seeking business opportunities to find one. During the fair more than 3,800 exhibitors will be in attendance.
The exhibition is divided into 4 dishes, just like dinner! To start off you have the “Intercarn” (related to all meat products); for the main course it’s the “Intervin” (concerning wine and spirits), for dessert it’s “Multiple Foods” (including general food products); and concluding the show is the after-dinner liqueur, the “Restaurama” (food eaten outside of the home). Two popular categories that have survived for the past two years will make an appearance as well: the “The Alimentaria Hub” and “The Alimentaria Experience”. These are mainly dedicated to the shows, with presentations and demonstrations by some of the best chefs working today. There are 3 main gastronomic shows. These include ¨Culinary Master Workshops”, “Showcookings” and “Gastronomic School”.
