It has been 11 years since the first film showing at Barcelona’s Platja de Sant Sebastià, and over the years it has spread to different beaches as well. The coasts with film screenings this year include Barcelona, El Prat, Mataró, Palamós, Tossa de Mar, Sitges, and Vilanova I la Geltrú. The filmings start June 29th and go through August 11th. Screenings will usually begin at sunset sometime between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm. This film exhibition is free of charge and does not require any reservations.
The film exhibition shows films that have been through film festivals here in Spain, and all over different festivals abroad. Food and seating will not be provided, so remember to accommodate that for yourself.
Movies will be played in different languages. Some languages include Spanish, French, Catalan, and Finnish.
The films that are going to be shown in Barcelona are Life Was That (Spanish), Six Days in a Row (Catalan), Iron Ladies (Finnish), The Lives of Marona (French), and then the public gets to choose that last film shown on August 11th.
