Come and explore one of Catalonia’s ancient Monastery in Sant Cugat and spend a day walking and shopping around vintage items in Mercantic, the town’s famous second-hand market.
Sant Cugat is a town, 20 minutes away from Barcelona. It’s a place full of history and rich in culture but, on the other hand, it is a great town to have a nice leisure stroll.
We are offering you three different options for you to discover the town:
- A walking tour of the ancient Monastery of Sant Cugat which was built over 1200 years ago, together with its church and cloister that contains 144 capitals. Further more you’ll be able to visit the Abbot’s House and the remain of its walls.
- An e-bike trail tour throughout Collserola, where you’ll be able to see many old farmhouses, the ancient pine, the Pi d’en Xandri and, lastly, a mesmerising view of the Montserrat.
- A walking vintage trail tour that will further take you to the Mercantic, which is a vintage village. There you’ll find all different types of antiques, hand-crafted goods as well as food and attractions. You will also be able to enjoy a drink whilst visiting the El Siglo book gallery which stocks over 10,000 second-hand books. We highly recommend you to visit on the first sunday of the months, as you will be able to enjoy the day in the Vintage Fest, full of many activities and latest products to look at.
