Jamboree
Barcelona is very famous for its culture and night life, and there is one place that combines both: Jamboree Jazz and dance club, at Plaza Reial near Las Ramblas.
Open 365 days a year, Jamboree merged with los Tarantos club, to become a unique venue where you can enjoy jazz music and after midnight the best DJs of the city.
From 8PM to 10PM, two live jazz concerts are played performed by artists such as Freedom Jazz Quintet, Christian Scott, Mark Turner and Giulia Valle, and many others. The club has run two performances a day since 1963. Some emerging jazz artists even made their first step there, like the pianist Brad Mehldau who recorded one of his first records in the cellar of the Plaça Reial.
And a bit later for the maximum price of 10€, lovers of hip hop, funk, soul, R’N’B or soulful house, can move to the rhythm of the DJ. The club is open to locals and guests from across the world. This is the place to find good company and the largest collection of quality dance music.
It is open from midnight to 5pm every day of the week and on Saturday and the eve of public holidays until 6pm. Discounts are offered to customers through virtual flyer or Facebook: free entry until 2:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and 5 € Friday, Saturday and eve of public holidays.
