Park Güell: Nature and architecture in harmony
Come and spend a day with your family exploring Park Güell in one of our guided tours, where you will enjoy exploring the marvellous garden-city, designed and created by the architectual genious Antoni Gaudí.
This spot is one of the most popular parks Barcelona is proud to have as, apart from being created by the city’s pride artist, it has a beautiful and romantic feel to the place with its detailed and colourful design , attracting many couples and tourists worldwide.
The guided tour will take you through the dragon staircase, where its surface is all covered with broken shards of mosaic. There, you will walk your way up to the Hall of One Hundred Columns, though realistically, it’s made out of 86 columns that resemble giant stalagmites inside a cave. Around the park you’ll find the Greek Theatre, the Laundry Room Portico and the Austria Gardens. The overall landscape makes the park fascinating, with unusual paths and hidden corners design in full detail.
Park Güell provides its visitors with the full rich significance of Catalonia’s home-grown art nouveau movement as well as modernisme, all mixed inside the great example of urban planning. The Park is, in fact, awarded as UNESCO World Heritage status.
