When to call for fire service?
People often hesitate about what constitutes the type of emergency situation that warrants calling the emergency line (which, in Barcelona, is 112). If a fire breaks out – any fire, even a tiny one in your kitchen – call 080 for firefighters immediately. A fire can spread rapidly and grow to become uncontrollable within a blink of the eye. It is best to stop it as early as possible to prevent greater damage.
When you call you will need to explain the situation, the type of fire, the causes (if you know) and – most importantly – your exact location so that a team can be sent out to help. Following is a list of fire station addresses in Barcelona.
