EGYPTIAN MUSEUM BARCELONA
The Fundació Arqueològica Clos – Museu Egipci of Barcelona is one of Europe’s foremost private collections of Egyptian art and culture. The organization is deeply committed to the safeguard, research, and study of the ancient Egypt.
The museum is composed by 2,000 m2 of gallery space with almost one thousand exhibits, including sarcophagi, mummies, jewelry and amulets, it allows us to gain a significant understanding of everyday life and the prevailing customs of the ancient Pharaoh’s civilization.
The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona provides guided tours of its collections led by Egyptologists, thanks to which the visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the Egyptian culture and civilization.
In addition to the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions, the museum also organizes other activities which enable visitors to enjoy the collections in an entertainingly way. These activities include night-time guided tours with re-enactments of scenes by actors. Another of the activities is the Etern Banquet; an incredible tour focused on Egyptian cuisine which grants visitors the opportunity to taste the great products that were part of the diet of this ancient civilization.
