The company’s strategy consists in selling budget clothes from high rented city centre retail stores to make the brand more vulnerable to a new a breed of competitors operating in cheaper, out-of-town locations. Its strategy became more successful during the 20th century as the a strong growth of the middle class has a changing demand.
Nowadays, C&A is still a family run business and it is involved with its customers.
