Let’s go Indie Rocking with The 1975!
The 1975 will be coming to Barcelona on 3rd February on a two-stop tour in Spain. The 1975 are a British indie rock band originating from Manchester. The band is comprised of Matty Healy (guitarist and vocalist), George Daniel (drummer and backing singer), Adam Hann (guitarist) and Ross MacDonald (bass guitarist). The band met in 2002 whilst attending Wilmslow High School, and they soon started covering punk songs at gigs arranged for underaged youths.
In 2012, they released their first EP ‘Facedown’ and started supporting the Little Comets on their nationwide tour. The lead track from their EP ‘The City’ was played on Hugh Stevens’ Radio 1 show, making them rise in popularity after people began to blog about the upcoming band. One year and 2 EPs later, their popularity continued and the 1975 went on to play shows across the UK. At the beginning of 2016, the band released their second album ‘I Like it When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It’ which they they will be performing on their latest tour.
The concert will take place Located next to Palau Sant Jordi, this became a venue for medium-sized concerts in its own right in 2008. Sant Jordi Club has a surface area of 2,900 square metres and a capacity for 3,000 people and has been equipped with the very latest light and sound equipment.
