Shotta presents “para mi gente” in Barcelona
At the 7th of April, you can watch a live performance of Shotta in Sala Bóveda in Barcelona. Shotta is a MC from Sevilla (Spain) called Ignacio González Rodríguez.
This HipHop rapper is born in La Macarena, a privileged neighbourhood in Sevilla. His brother is the legendary MC Toteking. In 2000, they released their demo XXL together. That’s how his fame started. After they created “Tu Madre Es una Foca” together and broke the Spanish records for HipHop raps. In 2004, his first solo album appeared which is called “La Selva”. By this time, he was already an established Spanish rap star, and could benefit from many high-profile guests and producers.
Chotta is well-known for his lyrics with strong language and acidic humour where he talks about being against the church and the police.
At this concert, he will present his fifth solo album called “Para mi gente“, which means “For my people”. It appeared in 2016, 2 years after his album “Flowesía”. The album contains 18 songs and some of them are in collaboration with other famous rappers such as Green Valley, Little Pepe and of course with his Brother MC Toteking. The album includes different music styles, such as classic rap. flamenco, reggae and modern sounds.
So, if you are really into rap, you should definitely see this rap legend live in concert!
