Run 10k with the fire fighters!
La Cursa dels Bombers Barcelona is a 10km run in Barcelona. This year is the 18 edition of the event. La Cursa dels Bombers Barcelona forms part of the Challenge BCN which is the group for this length of run in Barcelona. This year the route has attracted all ages because it has returned to the traditional form. It will cross the main roads which is better for participants because it is a quick circuit.
Also this year the event will focus on the founders of the event: firefighters. They will have a special role in the run, which will be for the citizens. The history of the event began in 1865 when the firefighters first came together as a group which is still present now. The first run was in 1999. Although the event is now open to everyone, firefighters still participate in this festive event.
The route will pass through the most important and exciting areas of the city, la Estación de Francia, Gran Via, Pla del Palau, Monument a Colom and others. The route has been chosen because it is mostly flat.
