Every summer Barcelona sees Circuit Festival taking place. Alongside Pride which takes place earlier in the high season, Circuit Festival is the highlight of the Mediterranean LGBT community calendar. With events and parties taking place across the city this is one of the world’s largest festivals of its kind.
Circuit Festival
Circuit Festival celebrates the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community, culture & pride. The festival takes place over thirteen days between August 2 and August 14. This is the ninth edition of this international celebration with pool parties, music, sports and other activities. There’s a huge programme on offer and the festival attracts over 70,000 visitors from all over the world.
One of the main highlights of Circuit Festival is the huge water park day at Illa Fantasia with over 12,000 people revelling in a twenty four hour (24hrs) open air party. There are over 60 different international DJs who entertain the thousands of visitors who attend over this nearly two week long festival and with Girlie Circuit Festival running in parallel to Circuit this is a hugely popular event in Barcelona.
Ticket prices vary depending on the event or whether visitors want an all access pass. All access passes will set you back €400. This includes free priority access to all parties, a welcome pack, beach bag and four day passes to DIR gyms. Prices for the other events vary between €20 to €100. The all day party at Illa Fantasia is €100 whereas other pool parties cost on average €35. Circuit Festival also takes in a club night at the famous Razzmatazz nightclub in Barcelona. There’s a long list of things to do across this extravaganza.
