5SOS (also known as 5 Seconds of Summer) is coming to Barcelona on the 10th of June! The Australian pop punk band from Sydney will be making a stop at the Palau Sant Jordi Barcelona during their «2016 Sounds Live Feels Live» tour.

About 5 Seconds of Summer

The musical group is made up of Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford, who were originally YouTube celebrities who became famous after posting videos of themselves covering songs from various artists for 1 years. They rose to international fame while touring with One Direction. In early 2014, the group released She Looks So Perfect worldwide as their debut single, and it topped the charts in Australia, New-Zealand, Ireland and also in the United Kingdom. It was only in October 2015 that the band released their newest album Sounds Good Feels Good.

She Looks So Perfect is the most well known single of the group, one that stayed for 22 weeks at top position on the charts in Australia. The group has been number 1 on iTunes in 39 countries all around the world. The concert will be taking place at Palau Sant Jordi, a venue originally designed by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki for the 1992 Olympic Games. The Palau is widely regarded an architectural jewel with a spectacular design. The venue can hold up to 17,960 people.

How to get to the Palau Sant Jordi

The Palau Sant Jordi is a large indoor sporting arena on Montjuic mountain, originally built for the Olympics Games of 1992. To reach the Palau Sant Jordi from the city center of Barcelona there are several options:

  • By metro: Line 1 (Red line) and Line 3 (Green line), metro station: Plaça Espanya. Then walk or take a bus to Palau Sant Jordi.
  • By bus: Take the buses that stop in Plaça Espanya and go up to the Olympic Ring. These are the following: 150 and 55 bus station: Avinguda de l’Estadi and 13 bus station : Olympic Stadium.
  • By Montjuïc funicular: Connects with metro line 3 (Green line) and line 2 (Purple line). It is a 10-15 minute walk to the arena.
