On May 14th, 2016 American musician, singer, songwriter and humanitarian Bruce Springsteen will be coming to Barcelona to perform live in Camp Nou. Also called “The Boss”, Springsteen is widely known for his poetic lyrics.
Founded in 1972, Springsteen’s famous primary backing band is now called E Street, but was not formally named until 1974. When not working with Springsteen the individual members of the band produce music on their own and have pursued very successful careers. The album Born in the U.S.A. (1984) is probably Springsteen´s best known work. It sold an impressive 15 million copies in the U.S., 30 million worldwide and became one of the best-selling albums of all time with 7 songs hitting the top 10.
Inspired by his work on solo album Nebraska, in 1989 Bruce Springsteen announced that he would be continuing his career as a solo singer. After their last tour together the members of the E Street Band went their separate ways and collaborated with other artists. In 1999, after a decade of performing apart, Springsteen and the E Street Band reunited, but this time on a more substantial basis.
