I have only good things to say about this apartment. When we arrived Mark was waiting for us at the apartment and showed how everything\'s worked etc. The neighbourhood was very safe but at nighttime the traffic was very noisy. Good connections to the city by bus and metro. I can only recommend :)

The lead up to my arrival was outstanding. From the beginning of the reservation, Marc, the landlord, was very timely and clear in his communications and he was very accommodating in terms of the lease paperwork, allowing revisions to carefully spell out the check-in and the check-out procedures to my satisfaction. This flat itself had issues once I arrived, but Marc addressed them to my satisfaction. For starters, the kitchen counters and cabinet shelves were full of crumbs, sugar, salt, and olive oil. The shelves of the bedroom armoires had a good amount of accumulated dust on them. Marc offered to have the place cleaned again. The clothes dryer was dead and Marc bought a brand new one that professionals came and installed right away. The television did not work for a week until Marc brought a cable box, and thereafter, I still couldn\'t get some basic channels (e.g. Antena 3). There were a few dead bulbs, which Marc quickly replaced. The kettle was filthy and the shower curtain was crusted with mold. Marc replaced both right away. The microwave got excessively hot and smelled like fire (turns out there was a coin inside the ventilation, which Marc removed). Finally, the metal blinds (persianes in Catalan) wouldn\'t close on one of the large living room windows. Marc is an honest man and a good landlord. He addressed all of the issues I had with the flat in a responsible fashion. Some things were replaced right away (e.g., clothes dryer, shower curtain, kitchen kettle), and Marc had other things (e.g. les persianes) serviced by professionals. He himself did some basic work (e.g. getting the coin out of the microwave). The location was outstanding in terms of access to public transit (bus stop literally right outside and metro 5 min walk), but República Argentina is a busy street and so there was a lot of road noise. Neighbors doing ongoing construction added to the noisy surroundings. Very convenient location for groceries as well (both Capbrabo and Dia % literally right there), and good local bar (Siboney) and fine dining restaurant (Matagana) within one block. Price was good considering this is a major metropolitan area. The wi-fi was wicked fast and I liked not having to worry how much bandwidth, electricity, water, or gas I was consuming, as it was all included in the prepaid rent. Something is wrong with the heating unit, however, as the unit shut itself down a few times due to build up of gases. This was VERY inconvenient during mid shower when the water got ice cold in an instant. Overall, I\'m glad I took this flat. Despite its problems, the pros outweighed the cons, and Marc did right by me.

The interior is slightly austere, but at least it's spacious and bright. Top neighbourhood- not as many tourists know it, yet it's full of bars and gerat places to go out. Reasonable price for good quality

Good place for a long stay. Quiet location, clean and neat apartment. It could sometimes use air conditioning during the summer though
