As you take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and enter this lovely home, you will come across a sunny extended living room with a comfortable white couch facing a flatscreen TV and a pretty glass dining table with three stylish white chairs around it. One side the living room is flanked by a private balcony and the other by a fully equipped separate kitchen that can be accessed through a double entrance with frames painted dark green. From the lounge area a sliding door leads to the gorgeous bedroom furnished with a large double bed, which is dressed with plenty of colorful bedsheets and pillows to make you feel right at home. It´s a relaxing and peaceful place in which to cozy up and read your favorite book, while periodically taking a glance at the vibrant neighborhood just outside. The bedroom comes with its own balcony access through doors that also allow in plenty of natural light to keep the room well lit throughout the day. The spacious full bathroom can be accessed directly from the bedroom and comes with pretty mosaic tiles that contrasts nicely with the parquet floors found throughout the rest of the apartment.
What sets this home apart from the rest, besides its ideal central location, are the carefully selected decorative pieces found throughout the space. Adorning the wall behind the dining area in the living room is a beautiful image of a green antique car against a dark street, which adds a vintage vibe to the space and also matches fantastically the green-painted door frames found throughout the apartment. Alongside this image is also an an elegant oversized wall clock that matches the “melted” Dalí-style clock on the wall across the room. Some of the furniture is also very unique. We love the two stylish coffee tables with their metallic bird cage design, along with the long bench featuring dark wooden legs and colorful patchwork cushion. Perhaps the best decoration, however, is the picture-perfect balcony with a view of the street. Barcelona is known for its fantastic Apartments with Balcony and this lovely one-bedroom is no exception.
Adorning the wall right above the bed is a cool panoramic stencil drawing of the Barcelona skyline, with the W Hotel, Christopher Columbus statue, Sagrada Familia, Torre Agbar, Tibidabo and the two towers all depicted. The drawing also shows Antoni Gaudí´s famous La Pedrera and Casa Battló, which are both just a short walk from the apartment down the famous Passeig de Gracia shopping street.
The apartment is at the border of the three most exciting neighborhoods of Barcelona – el Born, el Gótico and Eixample. It is therefore surrounded by wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes, not to mention a wide selection of stores featuring both international and local brands. Those who love to shop will enjoy close proximity to Passeig de Gracia, Portal de Angel and Corte Inglés, Barcelona´s most popular shopping center. The apartment is also not too far from La Rambla or from Arc de Triomfo and La Ciutadella park, perfect for a picnic on a sunny weekend afternoon.
