Hi we have just returned from a great 7 day holiday in Barcelona and we must say that the apartment De Lara was first class.Although collecting the keys was a bit of a nuisance the apartment was everything we could have wished for.The decor ,fittings and appliances were all 4/5 *(instructions or users manual would have been helpful) Would not hesitate to book apartment again or recommend to a friend

I loved what I saw on photos of this apartment and it was just like as it is shown! Beautiful, modern and very comfortable. I´ve head a great stay in Barcelona and would love to go back to the same place one day. The location is also great, close to the transport facilities, bars, restaurants and the center of the city.

Perfect location & a great place Vertaal opmerking

We have just returned from our 6 night stay in Barcelona, and loved this place. It is in an ideal location, 5 minute from the Metro, plenty of shops, bars, Tapas places nearby. Best of all, one of Barcelona\'s most famous tapas places is right across the road, Quimet & Ouimet (had 2 lovely meals there), and several other very good ones are on Carrer de Blai, the next street down. As for the apartment, well, one could not have a more comfortable, well furnished place. The full kitchen allows for those who want to eat in, very large fridge for European standards. There is a full set of cutlery and crockery, including coffee mugs, wine and regular glasses. The lighting, living and bedroom areas are spacious, and the office nook is very handy for those who need to catch up with work. The free Wi-Fi was very fast, much better than what we usually find outside of the US. For those who want to watch TV, they only have Spanish channels (didn\'t bother us as we did\'t come to Spain to watch TV). The bathroom area is lovely, well updated with double rain shower, and large double sinks. The window and small balcony look out onto the street, and we could see when the crowd at Quimet & Quimet had gone down, so we could get a spot at their bar. We walked to Placa Catalunya, Placa Espanya, Passeig de Gracia, El Born and the Port Vell area from here, and also used the Metro. Keep in mind that you will have to plan to pick up the keys and check in at the Barcelona-Home office, which is about a 10 min walk from here. You should check their office times. On the way out, it\'s simple, just leave the keys on the table, and close the door, no need to return to the office. Overall, this is a fabulous Gem of a place. We look forward to coming back to Barcelona, and plan to stay at this place again.

Nous avons passé un superbe weekend, très romantique, à Barcelone et ce logement était parfait ! Après avoir voyagé à travers l’Europe, nous avons décidé de nous poser dans cet agréable appartement. Très bien équipé et moderne, il est proche du métro qui pourra vous déposer partout dans la ville. Il y a aussi pleins restaurants pour sortir diner dans les environs. Très conseillé

The apartment was beautifully furnished and cosmopolitan. However, my fiancé and I we quite unhappy with the sleeping conditions. In spite of telling Barcelona Homes that we are a couple and desired a queen bed, we were stuck sleeping on two separate beds than could not be connected. In addition the bed mattresses were so uncomfortable that we were forced to sleep on the wooden floors. The location of the apartment was conveniently located to supermarkets and a few upscale restaurants. Unfortunately, the noise coming from the streets was over whelming and continued until 3:00 in the AM. The end result was puffy eyes and minimal sleep time during our 1 week vacation.. Normally I have a high to,stance for noise. I did live in Brooklyn NY adjacent to a subway line for many years and do know what a noisy environment is like. However the neighborhood of this quaint little apartment has much to be desired. The bedroom window looks down upon Club Rouge, which is a very active, very popular noisy night club. Overall, I love the amenities of this apartment with this exception of the sleeping arrangements and two very cheap back breaking beds. The neighborhood is a nightmare for anyone desiring rest and relaxation. If your a party animal and want to stay out all night until the sun rises, then this might work for you. Not much more I can say except I am disappointed.

L\'appartement est très joli, les photos ne mentent pas, c\'est plutôt une belle surprise. Si le propriétaire a l\'habitude de faire de locations longue durée il serait très pertinent de mieux s\'équiper en terme d\'électroménagers (rien de sorcière: un aspirateur, une lave-linge qui marche). Je trouve plus honnête de prevenir sur les nombreux bars qui se trouvent à moins de 20m de distance (si le but est de se reposer et bien dormir la nuit, celui ci n\'est surtout pas l\'endroit). Pour Barcelona-home: Déçu par rapport aux demandes d\'équipement additionnel: -Lit-bebe sans matelas?! -Siège bébé qui est restée dans un coin puisque elle ne pouvait pas être posée nul part (le mobilier de l\'appartement n\'est pas compatible avec le système d\'installation) -Encore une fois nous faison appelle aux détails, le lit n\'était pas double et même si les deux petits pouvaient se rapprocher, il n\'avait pas de draps pour lit double (j\'ai déjà vu le même commentaire auparavant) -La propreté de l\'appartement au moment de l\'arrivée très moyen (sachant que des frais de ménage sont prélevés des le moment de la réception de clés)

tout etait parfait ......mais ne maitrisant pas la langue je n\'avais pas compris qu\'il fallait récupérer les clés de l\'appart a une autre adresse donc en arrivant avec tous nos bagages il a fallut repartir a une autre adresse pour le check.

The rooms are really nice. The apartment was well equipped and very centrally located to access any of the centres in the city. We used the metro to travel within the city which was also convenient.

Absolutely loved the apartment. The location was superb, loved the layout. Very good value for money. The only down side was there was no double bed. This is the reason for marking down to 3 stars on the comfort criteria. Having then put the two singles together, there was no double sheets or duvets. Absolutely loved our holiday in Barcelona. Will be back soon.

About the bed linens for a double bed, I have to say that I didn't know that you would be needing them for your stay, so we simply prepared two beds separately. In general, those guests that need two beds converted into the king bed, simply have to mention previous to arrival, and we will be happy to arrange the bed linens and connect the beds to a double bed for their stay. We loved this apartment for our first visit to Barcelona - what a great spot to recover from jetlag and get into enjoying this amazing city. The apartment has a great location, not in tourist town but very easy to get to the usual sites by walking or Metro. Local food was good and there are shops nearby for home cooked breakfast and fruit. The artwork, furnishings and equipment made us feel as though we were in a friend's rather exotic and flash home, tiny though it is. Totally recommended!!
