To start this review, we had a great holiday in Barcelona. We walked across the city several times by choice and travelled across it via the Metro and buses countless times. It is a great city, we didn\'t feel that it\'s reputation of ultra high pick-pocketing is justified but we were mindful of this in the first place so perhaps we were lower targets and just did not notice it. To give some background into who is writing this review - We are a late 20\'s early 30\'s couple with a 2 year old son. We live in a family friendly estate here in Ireland and are used to having everything we need for daily convenience local to us, we enjoy our space here. The owner/landlady (Maria): She was very helpful, she stuck around for us to check in at an unreasonable hour due to flight times, she didn\'t get in our way at all, we had her contact details but didn\'t need her for the entire week we stayed. She is certainly one to trust in my opinion, there was no question regarding the return of deposit or anything of the sort - I gather she\'s a professional that has been renting/selling property in the area for years. She is very pleasant. The location: We really found it was the best of every world we could think of, we were literally on the door step of the a metro station (Entenca), we had a local supermarket under us and plenty of little shops and places to eat/drink around us, there is a nice park on the corner of the block, we were less than several blocks away from some of the bigger supermarkets and from the major transport station in Barcelona (Sants - It has buses to other areas outside the city and is a major metro station also), while still being in what we considered to be a quite enough area - The corner of our block was being re-built, yet it never woke me up, I found the fact we were 3 floors up from the ground floor and had the sun/rollerblinds down was more than enough. If your used to tranquil and quite surroundings, perhaps this won\'t be true for you, but then perhaps a City break isn\'t what you are looking for if that\'s the case... The apartment itself: It\'s a lovely apartment, just the right size for us, presented comfortably. It lacked a kettle but that\'s not a problem as it\'s a gas cooker and boiling water in the coffee maker is very quick, as would boiling water in a saucepan be should you need to make tea (I\'m not a tea drinker myself so it didn\'t bother me). It has everything you need for your stay, including a private WiFi (which wasn\'t mentioned on the advertisement - presumably this will still be there for future guests also but it\'s probably best to ask first - It\'s speed seemed reasonable for general needs while on holiday). The balcony is great for spending the night on and the air conditioning is a welcome retreat upon returning to the apartment after a long hot day around the city or the beach. Finally, a few personal tips/notes: The key to the apartment requires just a little more force to make the final turn than you would expect, it\'s not a problem but might seem like you can\'t open it... The lift works great but the outside door for the lift on the apartment\'s floor does not close fully by itself, you need to pull it slightly for the lift to know it\'s closed, it\'s worth remembering if you end up with the lift opening it\'s own doors again or your trying to figure out why it won\'t come down from the 3rd floor after your partner has used it just before you. I hope everyone enjoys their time in this apartment as much as we did, we will certainly look to Maria for accommodation should we be coming back to Barcelona.

Perfect apartment for me, my husband and our two kids. Very spacious and full of color. Metro station was near so we could go everywhere we wanted. Really liked it !

The place is located right next to the Enteca metro station so it was really easy to get around in the city. The neighborhood was calm and we had a great holiday, the little balcony was amazing for early morning coffee moments
