Barcelona is one of the first major European city with its own Olympic museum. It is called the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport and is located on Montjuïc hill. It offers a unique experience of the Olympic movement as well as the sports lifestyle that became part of the city after the 1992 Barcelona Olympic.

This museum is innovative and provides an overview of the different sports disciplines using amazing technology, interactive exhibitions, and multimedia installations. These play an important role in the museum’s content as allow visitors to experience sport as never before.

Through its simulators, you can try to run against Carl Lewis, see how Mark Spitz used to swim or improve your aerodynamics on a bicycle.  A part of this thrilling experience that will delight all sports addicted. You can also see a permanent exhibition commemorating Olympic cities, from Barcelona 1992 to London 2012, the first Olympic Games that was played on TV, compare the shoes worn by sporting legends like Michael Jordan, Pau Gasol and Roberto Dueñas.
