Welcome to the relaxing and authentic ambiance of Marsella, a historical bar located in the el Raval neighborhood of Barcelona. It is known for its friendly atmosphere, great customer service and fantastic cocktails.

The bar was founded in 1820, and still maintains many of its original antique decorations. It is rumored that this bar was a popular spot among some of the most famous artists who ever lived in Barcelona, including Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Salvador Dali. More recently, Woody Allen has also visited the bar while filming a movie.

The century-old bottles lining the shelves and walls represent the rich history of this hidden Barcelona gem. The specialty at Marsella has always been the absinthe and you can taste it here for just €5 a glass. The ambiance is very casual and perfect for a group of friends in their late 20s to 30s.
