The powerful musical phenomenon performed Saturday night in the Spanish spring festival

The Catalan superstar, Rosalía, held her first show in Spain as part of the El Mal Querer tour. This year, the famous three days festival took place at Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, where 18 stages hosted more than 200 shows from May 30th to June 1st. Primavera Sound has had 19 editions now and it had made it to the bucket list of music lovers all around the world. People from 120 nationalities attended the festival this year. 2019 was a very special edition because it included equal representation of women and men artists. A much-appreciated fact by Rosalía, as stated by the singer during the press conference a day before her big moment at Primavera Sound.

The last night of Primavera Sound, 63.000 people gathered around 10 pm to see Rosalía. The Spanish pop singer started the show with her two times platinum record, “Pienso en tu mirá”. The unique show was a very special one because Rosalía had the honor to close the last journey of the festival. The performance included all female dancers and a gypsy choir. A culturally diverse audience was enjoying the Flamenco and Latin rhythms that Rosalía brings into her music. In fact, the show included iconic Spanish songs’ covers like “Catalina” as well as the greatest hits. The night was definitely highlighted by the unexpected performance of “Barefoot in the Park” with British artist James Blake. Finally, the Catalan artist ended her show with “Malamente”.

A day after the show, Rosalía claimed that she was never on playback during the performance and she also gave a special shoutout to the dancers as well as to all the backstage assistance she got during Primavera Sound 2019.

If anyone didn’t make it to Primavera Sound 2019, Rosalía will be also performing at the Doctor Music Festival in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya race track in Montmeló, on July 13.
