An outdoor festival at Sala Montjuic for all film lovers
An annual outdoor film festival is going to take place at a grassy moat of Sala Montjuic outside of the Montjuic Castle from the end of June until the beginning of August. A historical sight transforms into a unique place featuring a blend of film classics and recent cinematography three times a week.
Sala Montjuic opens at 8.30 pm to welcome its visitors with a concert starting at 8.45 pm. The film projections itself begins at 10 pm. Spectators can certainly bring their own food and drinks, but there are also going to be dining services available at the venue. Above all, a wide range of drinks and freshly-made food such as burgers, vegetable samosas, hummus, and pizzas will be available for purchase.
If it rains, organizers may cancel the projection. In such a case, all those who bought advance tickets will be refunded. If the session is canceled after the venue opens, spectators can attend any other session, free of charge.
If you fancy learning something more about the castle, there are going to be guided tours available every day of the projection at 7 pm. However, the tour is only in Spanish and costs €11.
IMPORTANT: Capacity is limited. The availability of tickets and loungers at the box office on the day depends on advance sales.
