After those, U2 will head out again to visit Europe and perform in various big cities as well; from Amsterdam to Paris, from Stockholm to London, and many more. To all the die-hard fans out in Spain; no worries! U2 will also be performing in Barcelona and Madrid! After the tremendous success of their last tour, the 360° Tour, that took place from 2009 up until 2011, U2 is ready to face another challenge and start with a new tour this year.

With a total turnover of $764 million and an amount of 7.1 million visitors, the 360° Tour was the most lucrative of all U2’s tours. Will they be able to break this record with their new tour? So far their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 has been at a premium, which is why they recently added more concerts to the list, for example in Barcelona and in London. Therefore, U2 will be giving 3 concerts in Barcelona this year! These will take place on October 5th, October 6th, and October 9th, in Paula San Jordi. U2 opened their last tour in Barcelona, Camp Nou, on June 30th in 2009, for a total number of 90,000 Spanish fans. The responses from the crowd were nothing but positive, and hopefully this year around the show will be just as spectacular!

When U2 was formed in 1976 in Dublin, their original name was ‘Feedback’. The Irish band consisted of Larry Mullen, Adam Clayton, Paul Hewson and Dave Evans. Dick Evans, Dave’s brother also joined for a little while but eventually left Feedback to join another band. Feedback quickly changed its name to ‘The Hype’, but this did not last for long, as they changed it again to ‘U2’. A big moment in their career was upon them at that moment, since they won a talent show in Limerick, Ireland, in 1978. The price was £500 and the chance to record their first demo. U2 released their very first single in 1979, with the name U2:3. This single was a big hit in the Irish charts. After another year, they signed an international contract and started touring around the world. Their very first concert in Spain took place in Madrid, on July 15th, 1987. This was with their 12th tour, the Joshua Tree Tour. Then, on May 16th, 1992, U2 performed for the first time in Barcelona, in Paulo Sant Jordi for the ZOOTV Tour, which was their 14th tour.

As you might have noticed, until today U2 still does not skip an opportunity to perform live in Barcelona. With already 7 concerts in Barcelona in the past, another 3 will be added to the list this year. The sale for the tickets starts on February 10th, at 10:00 am. The concerts on the 5th and 6th of October are already sold out, but tickets are still available for the concert on October 9th,, with a price of €192.-. VIP packages are still available as well. Those tickets are more expensive (€415.-), but will provide you with the best seats and access to the VIP party! Do not miss out on the opportunity to see U2 at their best; live in Paulo
Sant Jordi!
