Barcelona is a shopping paradise, that’s for sure. And you can spend day after day shopping while discovering the big shops as H&M and the hidden ones in the Barri Gotic. I can imagine that you will need more than a month to go shopping everyday to have seen every shop in the centre of Barcelona, on the Avenida Diagonal, Passeig de Gracia, Avenida Portal de l’Angel, in Gran de Graca, Cor de Eixample, Eix Commercial de Raval and the Barri Gotic.
And what I like the most is the diversity. You can buy Gucci, Armani and Prada on the Passeig de Gracia or you may go shopping on a low budget in the area around Las Ramblas.
When you want to go shopping in Barcelona, you must remember that most shops are not open during lunchtime/siesta. In general, they’re open during the weekdays from 10:30 a.m.-2.30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m-9:00 p.m. On Sundays, most shops don’t open their doors. But despite of the fulfilled shopping streets in the centre of Barcelona there are also many shopping centers. You can find one at the end of the Rambla de Mar, it is called Maremagnum and it is even open on Sundays and holidays. Other big shopping centers in Barcelona are located below:

And last but not least the best shopping center in Barcelona, La Maquinista. It is such a big center, it is nearly a little village full of shops, restaurants, cinema, bowling centre and everything else you need to spend a day in there. It is truly not understated when I promise you that you can spend easily one whole day there due to the numerous shops as Benetton, H&M, Levi’s, Women’ Secret, Bershka, Jack & Jones, Zara, Desigual, Springfield and many many more. Its opening times are:
Commercial Hours: From Monday to Saturday 10:00 – 22:00.
Hours of entertainment and dining: From Sunday to Thursday 10.00 – 01:30; Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays from 10:00 to 04:00 h
You can reach this amazing shopping village with the L1 metro line and jump off at Torras i Bages. I wish you a nice shopping trip and as much as a shopping-loot that I had 😉
