October 31st is the international day of Halloween, on which people all over the globe dress up in their most terrifying outfits and take to the streets to enjoy a night of spooky cheer. In Barcelona, October 31st is likewise the day of fearful fun, though it is also thought of by most Catalans as part of a much larger celebration. November 1st in Barcelona is All Saint´s Day (Tots Sants), a public holiday on which locals attend church services to honor Catholic saints and lay wreaths and candles around the tombs of their loved ones in cemeteries all over the city.
