How to Celebrate Halloween in Barcelona

So you’ve found yourself in Barcelona this Halloween, well let’s start with what you should know. Halloween is celebrated differently in Spain, it is a two-day event; on the 31st of October you’ll find all the costumes and crazy parties and on the 1st of November they celebrate All Saints Day, Dia de Todos Los SantosIt is even marked as an official national holiday where most businesses are closed so that people can visit the gravesites of loved ones. It is quite a contrast to the wild night of the 31st, and really shows a calmer side to Spanish people. Traffic is crazy packed with families’ rushing to grave sites to show their respects and celebrate the lives of the deceased with flowers, food, and drinks. While officially those are the days to celebrate, in recent years special events and parties start popping up even before the 31st . We have gathered a list of how to celebrate Halloween in Barcelona some of the best parties in the city for Halloween.

  1. I was in Barcelona for last Halloween and we enjoyed it way too much. Usually we go to a famous attraction park in Germany but most of my friends now live in Barcelona and I think that it’s a nice city to celebrate whatever you want as it’s always nice and fun!
