Barcelona, being a popular place for young travellers to visit, has many hostels and youth hostels dotted around the city. Hostels are generally known as a cheaper option for holiday accommodation, however this normally comes at a cost in terms of location, as many hostels are not conveniently located, and privacy, as it is normal to have to share bathrooms between several people along your corridor.
