The hotel was a gift from D. Mariano Fuster to his beloved wife with the underlying intention to make the city of Barcelona more beautiful. This magical place is one of the icons of Catalan Art Nouveau and the very first 5-star-luxury-landmark hotel in Barcelona. Gracia is a district for artists and artisans, it is full of workshops and studios. Due to it being a highly residential and less of a tourist area, there are fewer pickpockets. Therefore, it is relatively safe to walk in Gracia. Scattered across the district are bookshops, art galleries, art shops, old bakeries, and middle Eastern cafe. Food in this area includes Greek, Organic, Coffee & Tea, Bar snacks, Gourmet, Italian, and Traditional. The closest metro station from the hotel is Diagonal. Gaudi’s Park Guell is the main attraction in Gracia. It is Gaudi’s second most famous masterpiece after Sagrada Familia.
