Addis Abeba

Addis Abeba is an Ethiopian restaurant located in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona. Named after the country’s capital, the restaurants serve a good selection of dishes packed with flavour.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Sants metro station, the authentic decor will transport you to East Africa as well as the perfectly seasoned dishes which you are encouraged to eat with your hands. Don’t worry they have cutlery as well! The low tables, traditional African tools and vibrant pictures create the perfect setting.

The menu has colourful dishes with interesting textures and aromas, offering a combination of marinated meat and vegetable dishes served on injera bread, native to the Horn of Africa. There are four different combination plates so you can sample the different flavours. Chicken, veal, lentils, pumpkin, cabbage, broccoli and chickpeas are available as part of the various options. Larger dishes include raditional dorowot, meser kek and segawot. Dorowot is an aromatic stewed chicken, segawot is braised beef dish with onion and tomato and meser kek is a sautéed chickpea dish with leeks and crushed ginger. For dessert they offer tropical fruit bowls or delectable carrot cake.

Visit this restaurant when you’re in Barcelona for a unique and exciting meal.
