Mercat de Mercats: a three day long food festival in Barcelona.
Between the last days of October you can visit Mercat de Mercats, a festival for lovers of food and drink. This outdoor food festival is located in the centre of Barcelona’s Gothic quarter, which itself is worth visiting. The market starts in the square in front of Barcelona Cathedral called Avinguda de la Cathedral and continues in to the Gothic area.
This great food festival is held to promote the quality products from the city of Barcelona and around Catalonia. Is is fear to say, this is an unmissable event!
Barcelona is famous for it’s delicious food, visit the Mercat de Mercats or “Market of Markets” to try tapas, by fresh healthy food and enjoy some of the best chefs in the city’s traditions of local cooking. If the food isn’t enough for you, you will also find vine, cava, vermouth, coffee and even olive oil tastings.
