Best Nordic food places in Barcelona

Nordic countries includes Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Denmark and is known for its rich culture and unique traditions. We’re presenting some of our favorite Nordic food places located in Barcelona! They have been founded by Nordic expats in Barcelona, people who fell in love with the city and decided to stay, but wanted to bring the best from their  native countries with them. Here you can find Danish beer, Swedish meatballs, Norwegian deli meat and everything in-between.

Pappa Sven

Pappa Sven is the only Swedish restaurant in Barcelona. The restaurants is bringing the Swedish traditions to Barcelona and are offering an unique experience. The Swedish food is different from Spanish cuisine, and some of the main dishes are the Swedish “smörgåsbord”, meatballs, herring and marinated salmon. It’s located in the centre of Barcelona and has a clean Scandinavian atmosphere to it. Doesn’t matter if you’re a Swedish expat longing for Swedish food or not, everyone should visit this restaurant! Be ready for a new interesting culinary experience and enjoy the delicious taste of Sweden.

Brittas Nordic Deli

Britta’s Nordic Deli is serving high quality products from Scandinavia and is located in Gracia district in centre of Barcelona. They’re specialized in sandwiches, deli meat and homemade salads. Britta’s Nordic deli was founded in 2015 by Britta Vangsted from Denmark and manage occupy a huge gap in the market: the Nordic treats. She wanted to bring the best of Denmark to Barcelona after living there in 15 years, and that’s how Britta’s Nordic deli was born. It offers a modern and vibrant interior and it’s obvious that the company is focusing a lot on freshness, simplicity and purity. For take-away only!

Ølgod

Ølgod is a craft beer bar and vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Raval. Ølgod means “good bear” in Danish and that’s exactly what they’ll serve you. With its 30 taps they’re bringing the best brew from Nordics, Spain and beyond. Some nights Ølgod are having brewer events, DJ sessions and artist exhibitions. Ølgod is the perfect place for a hangout any day of the week, and is known for its excellent service and vibrant atmosphere. It’s located in Barcelona centre near Liceu metro stop.
