Offering a spectacular venue for the festival will be the Gothic and Renaissance sites of the Castell de Peralada, built between the 14th and 16th centuries. Within the ancient walls you will encounter 4 music venues each providing a unique and historical environment in which to appreciate music differently. These 4 venues are the Castle Gardens Auditorium, an open-air auditorium, the Carmen Church, a 14th century church in which recitals, chamber concerts and small format operas will be held, the Carmen Cloister, a typical Spanish patio hosting premières and commissioned contemporary pocket operas, and the Cotton Chill Out, a cabaret-style, open-air bar. The atmosphere of the venue is designed to help you relax and enjoy the fantastic music in a positively dreamy state.
The talented performers present at the festival will include international artist, such as the amazing Seal (on July 23, 2016), Diana Krall (on July 30, 2016) and Bryan Hymel (on August 5). The rest of the programme for the 30th Festival of Castell de la Peralada will be announced later in April. For more information about the programme please, take a look at the official website of the festival.
