Barcelona is a city that lives for football the sport is in the heart of every Barcelonian. There are two football clubs in Barcelona that are very successful and play in La Liga, the highest league in Spain. The first and most successful club of the two is FC Barcelona. This is a very prestigious club that has won many prizes and its teams contained many football legend. The other club of Barcelona is RCD Espanyol. A real Spanish football club, founded as a reaction to the international football clubs in Barcelona. The player who performed the best during these Catalan Derbies is Lionel Messi. He is both top scorer and holds the record for most hattricks in the Derby of Barcelona. In total, Messi has scored thirteen goals during the Derbi Barceloní. Moreover, he scored two hattricks. One in 2012 , where he scored all four goals in that game, and one in 2014.
